FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Clyde Kazuo Sato
Clyde Kazuo Sato66, of Pearl City, passed away on July 26, 2020. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Custodial employee for the University of Hawaii Building and Grounds Maintenance Department for 15 years. Previously, a Floor Layer at Ace Flooring for several years. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lily, his brother, Allen and his nephew, Jody, he is survived by his wife, Gloria (Taira) Sato, his sister-in-law, Carol, his nephew, Grant.

He coached kids for many years at Leeward and Fort Shafter Bowl. He bowled in several leagues, Al Lyman Individual Mixed HDCP, Fil Am and HUOA Leagues. His best accomplishment was when he bowled a 290 game at Aiea Bowl, which was his best game ever.

He loved fishing, diving, cooking (very "ono" foods), and had an awesome "green thumb" for growing plants and vegetables. He loved UH football and tailgating with relatives and friends. Also, not to forget our yearly trips to our home-away-from-home, Las Vegas, and visiting his relatives there, too.

He was a member of the Okinawan Club, Gaza Yonagusuku Doshi Kai, which he was named "Uchinanchu of the Year 2020."

He will remain in our hearts forever, as he had touched each of us in his own special way with his love and caring.

Funeral services were held privately, due to the COVID restrictions (To view services held go to Link - bit.ly/clydesatocelebrationoflife2021).
