74, passed peacefully at his home in Sarasota, FL, on February 3, 2020. Born to Joseph Curtiss Young and Mary Ellen Kame'ekua on March 27, 1945, he was a kama'aina of Kaimuki, a 1963 Kamehameha Schools graduate, a Vietnam Army veteran who served with an All-Hawaii Company, and a retired HPD officer. He lived with his family in Hawai'i Kai, Kane'ohe, Waikiki aboard the sailboat Kharma, Ogden Utah, Budoia Italy, and Florida, all along the way cooking masterful Hawaiian and Chinese meals shared with aloha. His family, surviving siblings Yolanda (Young) Kalai, Patrick (Leialoha) and Albert Keli'inui, Archie (Karen) Young, and extended 'ohana; wife Sandra Kay (Villwock), son Christopher (Diane) Young & grandkids Sierra & Kaikea; daughter Dana (Peter) Lee & mo'opuna Evy & Pohaku, lift him with pride into the highest of the heavens.
