JoJo was the first Asian American dancer to be successful on Broadway. She performed on Ed Sullivan TV shows numerous times and performed as dancer, choreographer and dance captain in many Broadway shows, including "Nine", "Pippin", "Coco" with Katherine Hepburn and retired from "King and I" with Yul Brynner.
After her retirement as a dancer, she worked in several businesses including Pfizer Pharmaceutical. JoJo was also a talented portrait painter. She loved painting people's faces, especially children of friends and family. She did not sell any of her paintings but gave them away.
She worked in New York and California for many years and returned to Hawaii two years ago.
