Yasuo "Yasu" Fukumitsu, 92, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died March 7, 2021 at his residence. Born in Lanihau, Hawaii on July 24, 1928, he was a retired customer service agent for the former Aloha Airlines, a member of the Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, the Keopu Citizens Club and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Edna Fukumitsu of Kailua-Kona; sons, Kelvin Fukumitsu of Honolulu and Jason (Heather) Fukumitsu of Simi Valley, CA.; daughter, Laurie (Scott Ono) Fukumitsu of Mililani; brothers, Kenji (Flora) Fukumitsu of Keopu and Isowo (Joanna) Fukumitsu of Pearl City; sister-in-law, Jean Fukumitsu of Kaneohe; several nieces and nephews.
