81She is survived by her sons Kelton (Janice) of Honolulu and Robert of San Francisco; and her grandsons Matthew and Jeffrey, both of Los Angeles.
Hazel was born in Hilo and was a 1946 graduate of Hilo High School. She moved to Oahu in 1952 where she worked in the shoe department at Liberty House and as a secretary for over 30 years at Richard S. Matsunaga & Associates Archiects.
Her most precious joys in life were the memorable moments she spent with her family. She will be missed but we will forever keep her spirit of love, kindness, and generosity in our hearts.
A private scattering of her ashes will be held at a later date.
