He honorably served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. A veteran of the Vietnam War. He earned many awards including a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He retired with the rank of Master Sergent. After retiring from the Marines, he came back home to Oahu and worked at Pearl Harbor Commissary.
He is survived by his wife Yoshiko, two daughters Naomi Tomei-Sasaki (Carl), Tammy Tomei, four grandsons, Ethan, Kainoa, Nolan Sasaki and Dylan Weddle. And two sisters, Helen Tomei-Uchida, Alice Ihara.
Private and military services will be held.
