Wendy Lazer
Wendy Lazer90, passed away on April 30, 2021. She is survived by her husband, Jerome Bookin, children Hank Lazer (Jane), Terri Lazer, Lisa Bookin Johnson, Eric Bookin, sister-in-law Linda Goodman, grandchildren Matthew Schmale (Sandra), Isaac Schmale (Angela), Alan Lazer, Julie Mobley (Chris), and six great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Chuck Lazer, by her parents, Charles and Miriam Goodman, and by her brother, Stanley Goodman.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Wendy moved to California in the late 1940s where she met and married Chuck Lazer. They lived in San Jose, California, eventually moving to the Monterey Peninsula (Pebble Beach) where they owned and ran a real estate company, Prestige Properties.

Wendy enjoyed a full, active, intense, passionate life. She traveled widely - her favorite trips being to Israel, Italy, and on safari in Africa including a hot-air balloon ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro.

After living for many years in Pebble Beach and Carmel Valley, and living part-time on Oahu, Wendy moved permanently to Honolulu in 2000. With her husband Jerome Bookin, Wendy enjoyed golf, symphony, opera, theater, movies (especially the Movie Museum), the Honolulu Museum of Art, shopping, and fine dining.

Wendy was an avid golfer, with many close friends at Monterey Peninsula Country Club and Mid Pacific Country Club.
