He is survived by daughters Jan (Billy) Bow, Danette (Dwight) Keola, granddaughter Janette (Kai) Bow-Keola, sister Shirley Rapoza, brother Chester Bow, cherished pets, many loving nieces and nephews, and life-long friends. Dan was a graduate of Kaimuki High School Class of 1956. After graduation, he joined the United States Coast Guard. While serving he met the love of his life and best friend, Sistine "Pua" Frias and married her in 1960. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Hawaiian Telephone Company until 1988 and sold real estate throughout Hawaii. A patient, devoted family man, Dan's priorities were the happiness and wellbeing of his wife and two daughters. He played an active role in his daughters' lives by coaching their basketball teams at Sacred Hearts Academy and also assisted his brother-in-law in coaching the boys basketball team at Saint Louis School.
