FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Barbara Dorsam Del Piano
Barbara Dorsam Del PianoPassed away peacefully on June 12th, at her home in Waikiki with her family at her side. She was the daughter of John and Edna Dorsam and grew up in Manoa Valley, a place that remained special to her for her entire life. She attended Sacred Hearts Academy, Maryknoll School and after World War II began, transferred to Roosevelt High School, graduating in the class of 1945.

Town and Country Stables in Kapiolani Park and the Outrigger Canoe Club were her second homes until she went away to college. She attended Michigan State, Mills College and graduated in 1949 from the University of Hawaii. For the last 50 years, Barbara has resided in Waikiki where she became an avid walker and writer. She was a member of many local organizations devoted to historic preservation and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Barbara was a life member of the Outrigger Canoe Club and Kaneohe Yacht Club.

Her husband of over 60 years, Tony Del Piano, passed away in 2014 and she is survived by her three children, Mark Del Piano, Monica Campanis, Maile Madariaga and three grandchildren, Anthony (AJ), Brian and Chris Madariaga. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Navian Hawaii.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
