MARK TAMOTSU MORIHARA
Of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away on May 28 at Pali Momi Medical Center with family by his side. Born on April 3, 1952, Mark was the third child of Fred and Nora Morihara. Upon graduating from Kaimuki High School, he attended HCC Carpenter Apprenticeship program, in time becoming an accomplished journeyman carpenter. He also worked as a part-time instructor for the apprenticeship program at HCC. Working as a superintendent and general superintendent for Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc. gave him the opportunity of being involved with a number of condominium projects: Anaha, luxury condominium being his last before retirement in 2020. Mark frequented trips to Las Vegas and looked forward in visiting Japan and other places of interest. Mark is survived by wife Dee, two children Kelli-Ann (Devon) Yamamoto, and Kelsey Morihara, sister Faye (Ronald) Moriguchi, brothers Glenn (JoAnn) Morihara, Bruce (Mikyung) Morihara, Steven (Jodi) Morihara and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Street on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Visitation: 1:00pm – 2:00pm and Service: 2:00pm – 3:00pm. During this covid time, face masks must be worn and be mindful of social distancing. Mahalo.
