86, of Nuuanu, passed away on June 3, 2021. He was a cherished husband to his wife, Doris, who predeceased him on June 3, 1975. Richard remained a devoted father to their 3 children. He is survived by sons Jaysin (Julie) and Dayne (Patti), and daughter, Raine Matsuda (Derrick). He was a respected and dependable eldest son who is survived by brothers and sisters Edward (June), Jean Seki (Stanley), Lynn Sandahl, and Wendell (Phyllis). He was also a proud grandpa to Brielle and Reese Asato, Landon Asato, and Christelle Matsuda. He retired as the State Department of Education Director of Information System Services.
