85, rose to glory on May 21, 2021 at her home in Waimanalo. She was born in Honolulu and retired as a SPED Teacher Aide at Kailua High School. Fondly known as Aunty Jojo, she lived her life as a loving and faithful evangelist for the Kingdom of God. She was a member of Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay, Hope Chapel Honolulu and Kupuna Church in Waimanalo. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Ku`uipo; sons: Shannon Kamalei (Devery) and Shawn Kauiolani (Hoku); 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Kawe DeFreitas, Kalau Nuuhiwa, Gaelic (Dave) Steele and Virginia Sabado; brother-in-law: Kahale Kekauoha. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 8 at Borthwick Mortuary, 8:30am to 12pm. Service begins at 10:30am. Burial to follow 1:00pm at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
