Robert Nobuyuki Higa
Robert Nobuyuki HigaOn December 1, 2020, Mr. Robert H. Higa peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in his home in Aiea, Hawaii. he is survived by sons, Robby and Bryce Higa; daughter, Carrine Higa; grandsons, Kaysen and Brody; grand- daugher, Kammie, and brother, Tommy Higa. Spouse Carol Higa passed away on 5/1/2014. Sister Amy Kato passed away on 7/30/1996.

This world has lost a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. The oldest of three, Robert lived his life in service to his family, community, and country as a US Air Force Veteran during the Vietnam War. Through the US Air Force, he started his career path in the computer and electronic fields always forging the path for new and emerging technologies. He carried on this passion while working at Hawaiian Airlines, Kentron Hawaii, Hawaiian Telephone, Holmes and Narver, ultimately retiring from the Instrument and Control Department after 37 years with Hawaiian Electric Company. He not only ensured the lights remained on for the entire island of Oahu, he made sure to light the way for his three children and three grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Ever present he never missed an event, milestone, or accomplishment so his absence is felt every day. Grandpa, you did it your way! We LOVE you and you will forever be missed.

Please join us in honoring his life with funeral services on July 10, 2021 4pm at Hosoi Garden Mortuary located at 30 North Kukui St. Honolulu HI 96817. His burial with military honors will be on July 12, 2021 10am at Nuuanu Memorial Park located on 2233 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu HI 96817.
