45, of Wai'anae, passed away on June 5, 2021.Born in Wai'anae, raised in Nanakuli and Wai'anae. Graduated from Wai'anae High School, class of 1994, where he played football, and was known as Wudgee the "secret weapon".
During his life Kekoa worked at numerous jobs. Win or lose, the Dallas Cowboys was his favorite team. Kekoa was loved by everyone, his smile and shaka sign will not be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by mother Randy Mae Chung; pops Donald Chung Jr and brother Donald Ekolu Chung.
He is survived by parents Gene and Stephanie Kawelo; father Philip Morales; son Makua Kawelo; brothers: Randy (Stacy) Kauhane, Ikaika (Michelle) Kauhane, Kaeo (Nayeli) Morales of Ca., Kalei (Star) Morales of Ca., Stanley-James and Stanton John Kawelo; sister: Michelle (William) Pomeroy of Tn.; grandfather Oliver Kauhane; many aunties and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life for Kekoa Kuhilani Kauhane Kawelo will be held on July 10, 2021 at 89-235 Pililaau Ave (6th rd), Nanakuli, Hi. Time 5-10 pm, services start at 5:30-6:30. Scattering of ashes at a later date with family. Masks will be highly recommended along with social distancing.
