Albert K. Fukushima
Albert K. Fukushima83, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on May 10, 2021. He was born in Honolulu, and was a proud graduate of Kaimuki High School Class of '55. Albert worked for Community Planning and Engineering, Inc., as a research planner and retired after 50 years of service. He was a great advocate and ardent supporter of the Pearl City community. He was a respected and dedicated leader of the Manana Community Association and a former board chair and member of the Pearl City Neighborhood Board No. 21. Albert enjoyed ballroom dancing, his favorite step being the American Social Waltz, traveling to and exploring National Parks, and loved watching and attending UH games, as well as traveling to the mainland to watch his favorite pro sports teams. He was an avid collector of postmarks from all of his travels, and was a lover of all music genres. Predeceased by parents, Harold and Kayoko Fukushima, and survived by wife, Kathleen; son, Alden; daughter, Shelby Bernhardt (Jonathan); and granddaughter Kaylie; brothers Alan (Robyn), Herbert (Jan), and sister Altha Husband (John). Services were held.
