Ernie was born on November 24, 1948 and spent the past 25 years in the Bay Area, California. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2013 and immediately came out of retirement to own and operate Ali`i Sushi and BBQ in Benicia, CA for many years. His love for food was his way of Ohana (family), you follow the ono-licious smell and it will always bring together family, friends and neighbors. He was an avid fisherman and took every opportunity to be in or by the water. Ernie went by many names; local Hawaiian Style Eh!, Unc or Uncle, Pops, and Papa to many of his past and present fur babies. Ernie will be dearly missed for his less than appropriate jokes and remembered for his way of life, bumbai!!
Ernie is survived by his wife Jin of 36 years, 4 Sons Chris (Eden), Cory (Stacy), Chad, Cain (Marie) and his daughter Lila (Alvin). Grandfather to eleven beautiful grandchildren and four brothers, Douglas (June), Gary, Lincoln (Linda), and Kenneth.
