Leilani Elgloria Casil Agao, “Lei”
Leilani "Lei" Agao at 31 met her husband to be Mel Agao. They met in 1963. Mel had two children: Liza (who was in the 9th grade at Kalakaua) and Tony (who was in the 7th grade at the same school). Lei was working at Pali Longs at the time. Mel, Liza, and Tony helped her to memorize the sale items from Longs Drugs (they were no computers at the time). She was living with her twin sister Maile at Manana Housing. Mel was working at Pearl Harbor as a dispatcher and a pro bowler. They met through mutual friends. Mel passed away on December 15th, 1993. Lei passed away on July 5th, 2021. She had 3 brothers and 4 sisters who have passed away. She is survived by daughter: Elizabeth D. "Liza" and (Teddy) Sniffen of Maui (together they had 3 girls, 3 boys, 20 grand- children, and 5 great-grandchildren) and sons: Tony C. (da original Manawela boy of Red Hill Housing, 50's) and (Fay) Agao (They have daughter Jamie, granddaughter Awapuhi and son Kenan Kai), Mark K. "Maka" Agao, Claude "Kaulu" (Nicole) Agao (They have son Chivas Javier and daughters Chealyn and Chyloh). She loved Scrabble. She retired from the Navy Exchange.
