80, retired health aide at Moanalua High School, died at home on August 18, 2020. She is survived by husband Toshuke "Ted", son Greg R., daughters Stephanie A. Akimoto (Matt T.) and Leslie E. Arakaki, brother Vincent T. Akamine, and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother James M. Akamine and parents Tatsuo and Sadako Akamine.We will miss her jolly laugh and smiling face, her hugs and all of the delicious food she made over the years - especially her energy bars.
A celebration of her life will be held at Hawaii Okinawa Center on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00am. Seating will be limited in accordance with COVID restrictions. Please email watauchi808@gmail.com to RSVP by July 31st.
