75, of Waipahu, Hawaii, passed away on May 27, 2021. Roberto was born in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Eulalio and Remedios Cobangbang. He graduated from the Cabugao Institute of the Philippines. He later received his BBA and MBA from Hawaii Pacific University. Roberto served in the United States Navy where he received various commendations and honors, including two medals for service during the Vietnam War. After 20 years with the Navy, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Roberto later worked and retired from The Queen's Medical Center. Roberto loved cooking and travelling, and was an active member of the Filipino community. Roberto was loved as a husband, father, brother, and very loved as a grandfather.
Roberto is survived by his wife Corazon Cobangbang; children: Robert, Caroline (Dale Hackbarth), Cheryl; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Connor, Logan, Reece; brother Lino Cobangbang (Palma).
Viewing and Vigil Service: Thursday, July 29, 2021,
5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel.
Memorial Service: Friday, July 30, 2021, 11:00 a.m.
at the Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church.
Burial: 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
Social distancing will be observed at all locations.
