Vicenta Jandoc Baron
Vicenta Jandoc Baron89, of Honolulu, passed away on June 25, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1931 in Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Suyo, Philippines. She graduated as salutatorian from P.R. Pimental Memorial High School in Santa Cruz and Far Eastern University, Manila with a BSA degree in Education. She taught education in the Philippines until arriving in Hawaii in 1958. Vicenta was married to Alfredo (Lope) Baron, Sr. for 38 years until he passed on August 5, 1995. She is survived by sons, Alfredo (Mary Jane) Baron, Jr. and Alvin (Janie) Baron, grandchildren, Adam, Mitchell and Janal Baron, Jathan (Cheyanne) Peterson and brother Alfredo Jandoc. She is predeceased by her parents, Feliza and Florentino Jandoc and seven siblings. Vicenta worked for AAFES at Fort Shafter Exchange, followed by Hickam Air Force Main Exchange and retired in 1995. She was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Church in Kalihi and Our Lady of the Mount Church, Kalihi Valley. She enjoyed gardening, babysitting her grandchildren, crochet, sewing, and travel. Her trips took her to the Philippines, China, Europe, Israel, Russia, Mexico, Canada, and the US mainland.

Wake service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 5:30pm at Valley of the Temples, lower main chapel. Seating in the chapel is reserved. Public visitation is from 6:00pm - 7:45pm. Virtual live stream for 7/23/21 service: http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/56518/hash:A768A72AC0D7433A.

Funeral mass on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 1614 Monte Street, Honolulu. Visitation at 9:30am, mass at 10:00am, lunch served at 11:00am in the church hall. Burial at 1:00pm at Valley of the Temples. Please wear a mask at all indoor locations.
