YockPing Evelyn Au
Yock Ping "Evelyn" Au, age 90, of Honolulu, passed away on June 21, 2021. Evelyn was born on March 14, 1931 in Lihue, Kauai and at the age of two, she moved to China. She returned to Hawaii when she was 18 years old, and obtained an Associates Degree from KCC in accounting where she worked in retail and accounting. While working at the Lin Fong bakery, she met judge Richard Au and they were married for 63 years. She was a remarkable homemaker and seamstress, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grand- mother. Evelyn is survived by her sister Yock Seu Wong; sons Kerwin (Cindy); Aaron (June); Elton (Rhoda); and by five grand- children. She will be remembered for being kind and generous, always pleasant, lighthearted and having a warm smile.
Services will be on July 24, 2021 at the Valley of the Temples (masks are required) and seating is limited. Viewing begins at 10 am, services are at 11:30 am and a 1pm burial will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
