Virginia Shizue Uechi, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on June 30, 2021, in Meridian, Idaho. Virginia was the daughter of Hajime and Yaeko (Torigoe) Hino, born on September 14, 1935, in Palolo, Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Kaimuki High School in 1953. Virginia married Wallace S. Uechi on August 26, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. They lived in Seattle, Washington for eight years, then moved to Anaheim, California. After retiring from Hughes Aircraft, they moved to Kauai in 1999. She moved to North Carolina in 2007, then back to Southern California in 2014 and to Meridian, Idaho in 2018. Virginia joins her husband Wallace, Yaeko and Hajime Hino (mother and father) sister Irene Hino and brother Theodore (Ted) Hino in heaven and is survived by her beloved daughter Angela Uechi and son Bill (Lynzey) and their three children, brother Larry (Lois) Hino and sister Mildred Yoshioka. There will be no memorial service.
