Vernon Ronald Taylor
Vernon Ronald Taylor, of Nanakuli, age 84, passed away on July 8, 2020. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and attended Kamehameha Schools, then graduated from Waipahu High School in 1955. Later, he earned his Associates Degree in Fire Science from Honolulu Community College. Shortly after graduating from High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served his Country, in Berlin, Germany, for 3 years. After his time in the military, he became a Firefighter for the Honolulu Fire Department. He retired after 33 years as a Fire Captain at Nanakuli Fire Station, Station 28. Vernon is survived by his beloved wife, Pearl, son, Vernon (Louise (predeceased), daughter, Jacqueline (Steven), son, Michael (Michelle), 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and his sister, Nani Garcia.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Valley of the Temples, Trousdale Chapel in Kaneohe. Visitation 10:30am with Service to follow.
