"Aunty Clara," age 97, passed away on July 14, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born and raised in Honolulu and moved to Vancouver in 2015 to live near her daughters. She was an accomplished self-taught seamstress and baker who was famous for her almond chiffon cakes. Along with her husband, she travelled to 6 different continents. She is survived by 2 sons (Cornell, Collier), 2 daughters (Corliss, Colleen), 7 grandchildren, 3 sisters (Audrey, Betty, Eunice), and a brother (Henry). She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Howard Mon Kong Chun, 2 sisters (Chew Young, Dorothy) and a brother (Robert). A private ceremony is planned due to the COVID pandemic. Memorial donations may be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
