Born in Beijing, China, David spent his childhood in Hong Kong where he excelled in academics and track and field. David met his wife, Maria Law, at the University of Hawaii where he completed his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Thereafter, David received his MBA from the University of Toronto. David shined in his career as a mortgage broker, receiving numerous national awards. Notably, he invested many hours helping the local Chinese speaking community achieve their dreams of home ownership and mentoring junior mortgage brokers. David's hobbies included golfing, singing, cooking and traveling with his family.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria, children Brian (Nicole) and Darryl (Gina), and grandson Matteo. David was predeceased by his parents James Chung and Chin-Yu Lo. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Chung-Shung Lo, Sophia Tan (Kim), Chung King Law (Helen) and their children.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 6 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Oahu Mortuary, 2162 Nuuanu Avenue, with a service beginning at 5:30 PM. The family requests attendees to wear masks.
