Doris Taketa Kimura, 94, of Honolulu passed peacefully on June 16, 2021. She was born on December 19, 1926, the second of five girls and was married to the late Stanley Y. Kimura, WWII veteran and founder of the House of Photography. They worked side-by-side in the family business for over 50 years. Doris' beautiful singing voice and love of music kept her engaged in vocal ensembles (Harris United Methodist Church Chorus and The Honolulu Chorale), and performing throughout her lifetime. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Hoffman (Tom), Debbie Yamashita (Gary), Mark (Brenda Lee), Lance (Stacey), Terri (Phillip Zweig), and Tricia, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Private interment will be held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts) or flowers. Arrangements Provided By:
