Susan Phillips passed away on June 27, 2021, after her short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.Susan was born the second of four children on April 15, 1946, to Shirley and Jim Chalk. She is survived by her husband Claude, sons Claude Ryan (Kris Kamakele), Stephen (Liana), grandchildren Grayson and Gavin, brothers Stephen Fulton (Jennifer), Jim Fulton (Linda) her hanai siblings Annette Fulton, Linda Stanton, Peter Heddell, and many other nieces and nephews.
Susan worked for United Airlines for 39 1/2 years, was an avid and excellent tennis player, a known artist in her community, and a lover of the outdoors. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Tutu. She also demonstrated her loving and giving spirit as the host of "Bubbly Sunday," where she welcomed and fed anyone and everyone into the Phillips' home.
Susan was the keeper of hearts, the gatherer of souls, and a soft place to land. She is loved and will be missed by many.
Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on August 14, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the Phillips' home 148 Kuuapua St., Kailua, HI 96734
