FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Kenneth K. Chang
Kenneth K. Chang79, of Hilo, a Navy veteran and retired HPD lieutenant, and former worker at Hawaiian Telephone, Hawaiian Airlines and the US Postal Service, and former Chevron Standard Oil worker/tech, passed away at Hilo Medical Center on July 15, 2021. Born in Honolulu, he was a graduate of Kamehameha School for Boys class of 59 and a graduate of Chaminade. He is survived by his wife, Veronica; son, Kenneth Jr. (Belinda and 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren); daughter, Veronica-Lynn Magoun (Mark and 1 granddaughter); son, Wyman (Kory and 1 granddaughter); daughter, Tracey-Lee Jeffers (Greg and 1 granddaughter); sisters, Norma Nawahine (Henry), Sharon Rickard (Mervin), Gaylene Lolofie (Walford); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Wanda Spytko and Winona Miller. Private funeral service at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to extend condolences from 5:00 to 6:00 p. m. and from 7:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Due to Covid 19 precautions, masks must be worn and social distancing observed, and there will be a limit on the number of people allowed to enter at any one time.
