FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

In Loving Memory Audrey Endo
In Loving Memory Audrey EndoAudrey E. Endo, 78, of Honolulu, Hawai'i, passed away October 2020. She was born on Maui to Minoru and Nobue Hanada. The eldest of three children, she grew up in Wailuku as an avid reader, first chair clarinet, and surrounded by many friends and family. She attended the University of Oregon and the University of Hawai'i. Audrey married and had two daughters. As a passionate educator who taught for over 35 years for the Hawai'i State Department of Education, she believed in the potential of all her students. As a two-time cancer survivor, artist, and Korean drama fan, Audrey's interests were vast. She enjoyed painting, calligraphy, ceramics, and needlepoint. After retirement, she loved playing mahjong and line dancing with her friends. Everywhere she went, she would carry step sheets and choreograph dances. She was the family photographer, videographer, and DJ who would spend hours on the computer creating digital productions of trips and her grandchildren's sporting events. This fashionista and compassionate animal lover enjoyed traveling the world and embraced all cultures and cuisines. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren. Picking them up from school, taking them to eat, attending their activities and games, and traveling together brought joy to her life.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Peter T. Endo, and is survived by daughters Darcy Endo-Omoto (Daren Omoto) and Kammie Hayashibara (Chad Hayashibara), grandson Taylor Omoto, granddaughter Miya Hayashibara, and pet Miso. She is also survived by siblings Lena Kaneyama (Wayne), Mona Morinaga (Dennis), and many nephews and nieces. Private services were held.
