Age 84, of Honolulu, HI, passed away August 3, 2021 in San Diego, CA. Kalford was born Jan. 2, 1937 to Lawrence Akui Ling and Pauline Peters. He spent his childhood in Kahala, attending St. Patrick's and later, Kaimuki High, graduating in 1956. He worked at Pepsi Cola where he met and married Mona Elisary. Kalford and Mona were married in 1963 and shared 52 years of marriage and wonderful memories. Some of Kalford's pastimes were water skiing, karaoke, going to his high school reunions in Las Vegas, and spending time with his friends. He loved going for walks with friends in Hawaii Kai and was always the friend that everyone could count on if you needed a helping hand. Kalford was known by his loved ones as Boysie or Boy, a nickname given to him by his mother. He is deeply missed by his survivors: daughter Serena Mei Kehaulani Ling-Robison and son-in-law Steve Robison.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 23 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary at 47-200 Kahekili Highway, 9:30am viewing, service begins at 10:00, followed by refreshments, burial at 3:00pm.
