Kim was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 26, 1962 to parents Albert and Beverly Kekoa. In her youth Kim performed with The Carpenters during a concert at the Blaisdell Arena. As a teen, Kim paddled for Hui Nalu Canoe Club with her 3 brothers. Kim was a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus in 1980.
Kim worked at several hotel properties in the Waikiki area such as The Waikiki Banyan, Hilton Hawaiian Village, and The Halekulani. Kim also worked as a manager for AT&T Hits and Hertz Rental Car in Honolulu. After she moved to Las Vegas in 2009, Kim worked at The Bellagio Hotel & Casino.
Kim is survived by her husband, Nephi David Napoleon; her children Timiona, Titaina, and Kainoa Tauotaha; grandchildren Graeson, Noa, and Corey Norwood; and brothers Michael, Mark, and Matthew Kekoa.
Services to be held at Maunalua Bay August 28th 2021 starting at 10:00am. Scattering of ashes will be held outside of the bay. Food and refreshments to follow. Current outdoor COVID restrictions will apply.
