Laura Lee Lum

Laura Lee Lum passed away on July 18, 2021. Laura Hing Wah Lee was born on August 7, 1924 in Honolulu to parents Koon Inn Lee and Tai Moi Chun Lee. She was the eldest of 8 children. In 1947, she married Reginald Lum and they had 5 children. Laura loved her family, music, cooking and traveling. She will be remembered for her delicious Chinese cooking and as a hard-working, resilient and caring mother, sister, popo and tai-tai.

She is survived by children Sandra Young, Walen (Audrey) Lum, Wendell (Deborah) Lum, Maelynn (Thomas) Hee and Wesley Lum; siblings Catherine Yee, Helen Wong, Janet Wong, Ernest Lee (Letah Yang) and Carolyn Fortune; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great- grandchildren.

Mass on Aug. 20 at 2pm at Sacred Heart Church. Service will be held on Aug. 23 at 10am at Diamond Head Mortuary. No flowers. Private burial at 1pm at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe.
