Nancy was the daughter of Harry Susumu and Kimiko Kimura. The family lived in Kapahulu, where Nancy graduated from Roosevelt High School. She continued her education by receiving a Queen's Hospital Professional Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing and Master's degree in Public Health from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Nancy had a long and full career as a Public Health Nurse with the State of Hawaii. She worked in many of the different public health offices in the state, eventually becoming a Public Health Nursing Supervisor at the Lanakila branch office.
Nancy and Ken were high school sweethearts. Together, they lived a full life filled with happiness. They enjoyed work, family, ballroom dancing, growing orchids, and traveling the world.
She is survived by her daughters: Dr. Kathy Ishimoto, Patricia Chong (David), and Candace Hochstein (Robert); grandchildren: Kimberly Ishimoto (Bradley), Matthew Chong, and Christopher Chong; great-grandchild: Julia.
