FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Edwin Ahana
Edwin AhanaBorn in Lihue, Kauai, fourth son of K.M. and Flora Ahana on February 7, 1933. He joined the Air Force soon after graduating from Kauai High School in 1951. He retired with the rank of M/SGT from the Air Force after 26 years in 1977 and worked as a civilian employee for another 27 years at the Air Force Civilian Personnel Office, after which he worked at other occupations until he passed quietly on July 5, 2021. He is survived by his family in Okinawa: son, Richie (Masako); grandson, Zen; grand- daughters, Ayumi and Kozue; and step-daughter, Megumi. In Hawaii, he is survived by older sister, Ellen, and brother, Mervin. He was predeceased by older brothers, Kenneth, Victor and Alvin. He will be buried with full military honors at Punchbowl at a private service for family only.
