VALENTINA ASUNCIONOur dear Mom, Grandma, and "Queen V" of Mililani passed away on May 20, 2021 at the age of 88. She left this world to her final destination of eternal life with Jesus and the rest of our love ones that have gone before us.

As a young woman, Valentina was a singer and did commercials at a radio station with her sister Betty. She was a mother to all generations, and provided all that she could. She had the gift of being crafty and so talented with her hands. Throughout her life she was a seamstress, she crocheted, made center pieces, art flowers, and much more. Val retired at the age of 55 from civil service and became a foster parent, as well as volunteered her services managing and teaching ukulele classes for the Meals on Wheels program in Mililani. She was highly recognized for her volunteering and helping the community.

Most of all, she was a caring mother for all of her family, loved unconditionally, and was a devote catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby (Grandpa), son Joseph, and grand- daughter Cheryl. She is survived by her children Art, Gene, April, and Bobbie; grandchildren (11); great-grandchildren (23); great- great-grandchildren (29); brothers Alejandro, Policarpio (deceased), Anaclito; sisters Perfectua, Miguela, Felomina, and Juanita.

We will miss you dearly mom, grandma, sister, and friend, you were a blessing to all of us, and you will be in our hearts always. Rest in Peace and Love with Jesus and our love ones.

Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel, Monday, August 30, 2021 from 9:30a – 12:30p. A Celebration of Life gathering to follow after the services, flyers will be given for info of location.
