89, of Honolulu, passed away on August 9, 2021 at Hale Malamalama Nursing facility. She was born in Makawao, Maui. She is survived by husband Seiyu; son Alan (Laura); daughters Carol (Eddie) Hoopii and Pearl Toyama; 4 grandchildren, Kapono & Shane Hoopii and Ashlyn & Travis Toyama; 5 great-grand- children; Jada, Brianna and Chloe Hoopii, Kyla Rae and Tysen Batulanon; sisters Edith Shimabuku and Jane Uyehara, nieces and nephews.
