80, of Pearl City, Hawaii, peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in South Hilo, Hawaii, on November 25, 1939, to Richard and Polita Harvey. He has one sister Abigail Laterza (Al), and two brothers, Richard Harvey (Elaine) and Henry Harvey (Nikki). Samson joined the Marines at age 17. He married the love of his life Judy at age 22 and together raised three children. He was a kind, funny, loving soul with an unwavering faith and love for Christ. Samson was a great role model, always eager to teach and mentor others. He worked at Lockheed Martin as a helicopter mechanic before launching a 36-year career at Pearl Harbor, where he was a highly skilled nuclear welder. After retiring from Pearl Harbor, Samson worked at Walashek Industrial & Marine, and later for Propulsion Controls Engineering for over ten years. After fully retiring at 77, he enjoyed bowling and always being there for his friends and family. Samson was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Harvey, and eldest son, Dean Harvey (Kathi) of Tigard, OR. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Keamo (Lawrence), and Duane Harvey (Muneca) of Pearl City, six grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. A private family memorial service took place on Saturday, August 28, at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio Makai Chapel.
