85, of Pawa'a, passed away 8/15/21. He was born to Charles and Gertrude (Ruth) Van Dusen in Hastings, NE. He was a US Army veteran and spent 31 years working for Chevron USA in Hawaii and Belgium. After retirement he kept active in church, social clubs and bowling. Robert was a fixture at Kulana Hale on Punahou and Beretania, where he lived and worked since 1999. He was an avid sports fan, loved listening to Hawaiian music and talking story. He is survived by his brother Dale Van Dusen, NE; his 3 children: Myles Kepa (Glenda) Ah Nee, Dr. Mark (Laine) Van Dusen and Mona (Chris) Kidd; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Our family thanks everyone for being a part of his life and asks that you honor him by living each day with ALOHA.
