Rose Lui Aki Miyashiro
Rose Lui Aki Miyashiro, 82, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2021. Rose was the youngest of nine children born in Hilo to William and Choon Sung Aki. She was a retired teacher for the Hawaii Department of Education and member of the Makiki Community of Christ Church. She was blessed with a multitude of loving, devoted family and friends. Rose was an avid traveler and bird lover. She will be remembered as the little lady with the big laugh and even bigger bear hugs. She travelled extensively with Charlie, her devoted husband of 42 years and love of her life, whom she now joins in heaven.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; her brothers Henri and Alex, and sister Katherine. She is survived by her children Charles II (Anne) and Kim (David) Takayesu; her grandchildren, Travis and Niko; her brothers Wally and William Jr., and sisters Amie, Jennie and Lily.
