Valerie had a colorful career in business, politics and land management. She was a gifted intellect with a love for learning. She kept her faith, her family and her dogs close to her heart. She enjoyed singing, tennis, reading and flower leis. She was warm, kind, generous and loved to help people.
Valerie is predeceased by husband Fred Trotter.
She is survived by daughter Lawana Mendes Collier (Brandon); son Kai Mendes (Heather); grandchildren: Quintin, Madison and Peyton Collier, Kalae, Kona and Kawailani Mendes; sisters: Viola Moon, Valli Watson (Clifford), and brother Abraham Lota (Ulu).
