The daughter of Theodore George Emanuel and Fuluula Tiumalu of American Samoa passed away early morning August 10th in the place she created, cherished and called home, "Honokaa Trading Company". "Gracie" as she was known, came to Honokaa through Honolulu where she performed at the famous Queens Surf and California where she and her husband ran a popular Oceanside restaurant in Bolinas. Settling in Honokaa she managed to create a unique store catering to high end antiques and good reusable ware. Most engaging was her banter with friends and visitors alike. If people knew Honokaa, they knew Gracie.Later in life Gracie had a passion for cats and gave her indigent feline friends food and a home. She loved them and cared for them with a passion. Showing the true humble and warm heart she shared so generously with the community she loved and who loved her.
Gracie is survived by her daughter Christine Walker, four Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
Celebration of Life drive-by: 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the
Botelho Building in Honokaa on Monday, September 20th, 2021.
Cars can come down Puakalo St. from the park.
Botelho parking area will allow the Drive-by to say "Aloha".
