FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Inder Mirchandani
Inder Mirchandani74, passed away from pancreatic cancer on August 22, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.

Inder was born on September 16, 1946, and educated in India at St. Columbus HS, and Delhi College of Engineering. Only by chance on a rainy day, he got information to do his masters in mechanical engineering at UH Manoa.

Thus began his illustrious career in mechanical engineering at Ferris & Hamig, completing projects for hospitals, military projects, and of course, in Hawaii, many major hotels. Also, to augment the family resources, Inder got his real estate license, meeting many talented real estate brokers. His third "career" was learning the stock market from his late father-in-law. Beginning early in the morning with the stock market, to running projects during the day, he never stopped. Sundays were real estate days, viewing properties.

Inder married a local Chinese girl, Aileen, as shockingly predicted by his mother's astrologer. In the years that followed a son Sanjay (Diane Kucmeroski, two grandsons), and a daughter Shaila (Kee Campbell, Lilu) made his family circle. He was always home by six for the kids. Tutoring them on math on the beach under the tree, or listening to them on night walks. Attending soccer and tennis games, and hula recitals, he yelled himself hoarse, very happy of his children's accomplishments.

Later Inder was the kids' business manager. He helped them think things through or most likely with straight out advice, guiding their businesses.

He is also survived by his sister, Pushpa Mirchandani.

Dr. Gypsy Paar and Indian college classmates have our heartfelt appreciation. A special thank you to family, friends, for their many prayers, kind thoughts and actions, and gifts of food on Inder's journey. He and we are blessed to have you in our lives.

In the end, Inder was cremated and his ashes spread in the ocean per Hindu ritual, where the waters gave him much peace. Om Shanti Shanti. Om Namah Sivaya
