97, of Honolulu, passed away July 22, 2021. He was a WWII Army veteran with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and retired administrator for the University of Hawaii-Manoa, School of Public Health. Asa is survived by son Clyde (Edward) Higuchi, daughter Lynne (Charles) Calvet, and granddaughter Marie (Reid) Sakamoto. He is predeceased by his wife Edna, sisters Lucille Hayami and Patty Tanaka, and brother Harold Higuchi. Private services.
