Diane was born July 24, 1960 to Joseph and Teresa Spenard and grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts. She joined the U.S. Air Force and simultaneously graduated from Worcester State College and later signed on with the U.S. Army. It was through the Army that Diane was assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii where she met her soulmate, Guy. They enjoyed life and had many incredible adventures traveling, cruising, camping, and working on their beautiful home together. She retired as an Army Major with 29 years of Military service. Diane later joined the Hawaii State Department of Education as an Occupational Therapist for the past 14 years. Due to her positive attitude and courage Diane worked throughout the majority of her 5 year battle with cancer.
Diane is survived by her husband and soulmate, Guy; stepchildren; Michelle (Rick) Payton and Kristi (Nathan) Nakao; 4 stepgrandchildren; 2 stepgreat-grandchildren; fur babies, Simi-chan, Pinky-Niko, Kuro-chan; mother, Teresa Spenard; and sister Denise Spenard.
