Martha De Mello
Martha Rose Kekaikuihala De Mello, 80, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died August 2, 2021 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu on February 22, 1941, and raised in Kuli'ou'ou Valley, she retired as a secretary for the Federal Government and was a devoted member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Oahu and St. Michael's Catholic Church while residing in Kailua-Kona. Though Martha's loving and charismatic personality will be missed, memories of her will live on. We have definitely been blessed with her presence! Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a private service and burial was held at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park on September 10, 2021. The celebration of life will be held on a later date. Martha is survived by her sons; Shane (Jane) De Mello of Captain Cook, Hawaii and Montgomery (Heidy) De Mello of Kuli'ou'ou, Oahu. daughter; Renee (Neill, Jr.) Schoening of Ewa Beach, Oahu. brother; Robert (Lani) Reeves of Kaaawa, Oahu. Sister; Rose Henry of the Philippines. brothers- in-law; Dennis (Nanea) Sai of Hilo and Herman (Susan) Texeira of Waimea. 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
