At a young age of 97 years old, Tatsukichi passed away peacefully and entered into heaven on August 17, 2021. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Kinjiro and Seki Kobayashi on July 13, 1924 and was raised in Hiroshima, Japan.He was an amazing businessman as he and his brothers founded the Kobayashi Travel Service, Polynesian Hospitality Tours, The Tour Shop and worked with the family business of Kobayashi Hotel.
Tatsukichi was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather and will be missed dearly. He was the last remaining Nisei survivor of the Kobayashis. In 2019, Wasabi Magazine printed a story on Tatsukichi's life journey. (issuu.com/readwasabi/docs/wasabi07-issue (Pg. 27-29)).
Private service was held at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
