Warren K.C. Yen
Warren K.C. YenWarren K. C Yen, age 92, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2021. Warren was born and raised in Honolulu. He attended St. Louis School until he graduated in 1947. Warren was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. During his years of service, he spent time in California, Korea, and Japan. He married Iris M. Au of Honolulu, HI while living in San Francisco. Warren became a life-long fan of the SF Giants and 49ers from his many years of residing there. After 13 years of being away from Hawaii, Warren and his family returned to Honolulu, eventually settling in Kaneohe. He was also a parishioner of St. Ann's Church. In 1993, with 42 years of employment with the U.S. Postal Service, Warren decided to retire. He and Iris were blessed to be together for so many years in the same home since 1963. Warren was predeceased by his baby sister Beverley, his parents Adeline and Joseph Yen, and his younger brothers, Clarence, and Joseph Emmett Yen. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Iris; son Kerry Yen (Cynthia) of Mililani, HI; his daughters, Celeste Yen of Kaneohe, HI; and Darcy Yen of Bellevue, WA; his grandson John Yen and his great-granddaughter Ailika Yen of Spokane, WA; cousins, nieces, and nephews. Future inurnment will be at Hawaiian Memorial. A Mass for Warren K.C. Yen will be held at a later date at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe. For additional inquiries please contact the family.
