93, passed away with her family beside her on August 28, 2021, at Manoa Senior Care in Honolulu. Bea was preceded in death by her loving husband David Sugimoto, son Brian (Sharon) and grandson Tod. She is survived by daughter Susan (Albert) Yoza, sister Frances Kagawa, brother Albert (Iris) Tarumoto, grandchildren Katie Yoza, Malia (Martin) Kamauu, Jason "Ziggy" Wong, Kara (Koa) Gomes, Dallas (Niko) Uti, and five precious great grandchildren.Bea worked for 37 years at the University of Hawaii, where she received the Willard Wilson Award for distinguished service. In her retirement, she discovered a love of Hawaiian quilting and spent many hours making beautiful quilts and pillows for her family and friends. She was a proud grandma who always enjoyed sharing stories about her family. Private services to be held at a later date.
