89, of Honolulu, died on August 2, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Honolulu, Evy graduated in the class of '49 from Punahou before attending Michigan State where she met and married Foo Lim. They celebrated a successful 61 year partnership, creating and running restaurants and other businesses before Foo passed away in 2014. Along with their three children they lived in Penfield, NY before moving back to the islands in 1971. A wonderful Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Aunty and friend. Evy was a gracious host and always inspired us with her grace and kindness. She touched everyone she met with her thoughtful and generous spirit. Evy was an unsung hero of the sailing community supporting junior sailing and hosting arrival parties for yachts from around the world. Evy is survived by her children Yal (Kristin) Kui (Debbie) Wan (Matt), grandchildren Aarika (Ryan), Ian (Shannon) Kai, Tamzen and Great-grandchildren Nolan and Taylor. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
