Janet Chun Yee, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on September 16, 2021. Janet was born in Honolulu on August 23, 1933, to Chow Sin and Doris Kishida Chun. She graduated from Kaimuki High School and the University of Kansas. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, love for her family, positive attitude, and selfless generosity. She had many interests, but was artistically talented in ceramics, musically talented in playing the piano and an avid gardener who had a green thumb. She loved getting together with family and friends to catch up and eat her favorite foods. She valued family over everything and kept her family closely connected with each other.
Janet was predeceased by her daughter Lianne Liu. She is survived by her husband Kwock Tim Yee; children Kevin (Ih Hae) Yee, Lorinne Adachi, Lauren (Eric) Nagao, and son-in-law Andrew Liu; grandchildren Ryan Adachi, Evan Liu, Riley Adachi, Bennett Liu and Nicole Nagao. She has touched the lives of so many and will be forever loved.
